105-lb 77years old Mrs Murphy is a natural self-taught and self-trained competitive powerlifter who won her division in the World Natural Powerlifting Federation World Championships
Mrs Murphy works out three times and has won multiple awards at the WNPF New York State Powerfest competition in Henrietta and several first-place awards in the power curl (60lbs), bench press, and bench press for reps.
When she realized she was becoming too weak to move, Shirley Webb, 78-year-old Grandmother wanted to hit the gym and get back in shape.
Motivated by her 20-year-old granddaughter who also wanted to join the Fitness Club in Wood Lawn Illinois where her grandma used to train, she signed up.
Shirley became a sensational motivational figure after an Instagram video of her, lifting 225 for 3 reps, blew up online.
Shirley still trains 2-3 times a week can lift 245lbs at 165lbs on the deadlift and recently won weightlifting medals in Illinois and Missouri, and set a record of 215lbs at the USAPL competition on the 20th of June 2015.
Shirley is definitely an inspiration in the senior female powerlifting community and continues to train several times to stay in shape.
